Peer signs deal with Taylor Thrash

PeerMusic has signed an exclusive songwriter and co-publishing agreement with recording artist and songwriter Taylor Thrash.

The agreement is a joint venture between producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Neon Trees, Iglu & Hartley) and Peer with announcement being made by Sam Kling, Peer VP A&R.

Tulsa's Chase Stites partners with producer Mark Needham

Grammy-award winning producer Mark Needham (M.A.N. Entertainment) will help mix and produce Chase Stite's next album.

Needham has multiple platinum-selling records to his credit, including works by Shakira, OAR, The Killers, Chris Isaak, Fleetwood Mac, Ludo, Blondie, Michael Franti & Spearhead and Neon Trees.

Needham also said he expects at least two radio singles to come from the Stites recording project.

For their latest EP, Black Music, the band hooked up with producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Neon Trees) through their marketing manager. Coy commented the initial plan "was just to do one song but we were really happy with the way it turned out so we decided to do a few more. Some of it we originally had recorded into laptops in my friend's garage studio so some of the tracks we brought to Mark. Afterwards, we re-recorded all the vocals and some of the drums and guitars in Mark's studio and then he mixed the whole thing." And considering the high quality of the EP, it's safe to say that the band benefited greatly from working with Needham.

The recording was awesome. It was definitely the most fun I've ever had recording. We tried mixing the record ourselves, but after sitting on it a while we decided to try a pair of fresh ears. We sent it to Mark Needham who did a great job with it. I think it's important not to repeat yourself and take some chances every time out. I feel like we definitely did that with this record.
